I agree, there are many professionals and practitioners addressing this today, many claiming to have THE approach that can help.

What works for some families can sometimes have very little to contribute to another family's personal growth.

In studying and trying many of the adhd wellness approaches available to us, and in observing people who strive to become whole, I have found some common threads.

In many teachings about personal growth, spiritual growth, and the power of the mind, this message is delivered over and over again.

What we focus on expands.

We create our reality.

Energy flows where attention goes.

Books with teachings like this have been around for a long time. Now more than ever mainstream is opening up to it.

Movies like What the Bleep Do We Know?, Indigo Evolutionand more recently, The Secret, are becoming more understood and talked about even at the office, not just with your tarot lady!

So, where am I going with all this?

By all means, look into the holistic treatments such as Brain Gym, nutritional supplements, chiropractic, EMF balancing, EFT and whatever else you have discovered.

There's also Feng Shui for your child's bedroom, dowsing, energy work, NAET allergy elimination, accupunture, traditional chinese medicine, and still more..

Cranio Sacral Therapists are recognized for working with adhd wellness approaches as are Osteopaths.



And then..

What if we focus on what we want rather than on adhd ?

What if we think about wholeness and wellness and allow that thought to expand by nurturing it everyday?

Then we become more focused and can choose the treatments, approaches and literature that feel aligned with our vision and our truth.

Many people report that after using them on a regular basis, their concentration improves dramatically as well as noticing numerous other healing benefits on physical and emotional levels.

My own son does find quite a difference in how he feels when he listens to them just before falling asleep. He has a deeper more peaceful sleep.

There are many excellent books available with ADHD or ADD in the title. I recommend some of them.

One in particular is The ADD Solution by Dr.Frank Lawlis.

My idea however is that if we focus consciously about what we really want we will find the books and support and guidance that don't always focus on a label or the symptoms, rather on how to experience life at our fullest potential and become whole. In a coaching relationship I offer a balance to my clients, between looking at what's happening today and taking action to improve it as well as creating your vision of wellness and then supporting it to become reality.
